Gudetama Talk
A yellow blob of an egg with a lazy attitude and a love for sleeping. He will either be trying to avoid drops of soy sauce, trying to stay in his eggshell, or under a piece of bacon or toast for comfort and warmth. His famous saying is, “Ahhh…ahh…lazy….”.
Gude-tama-tama (like the song says) is an example of how many young adults currently feel. Young adults can relate to not wanting to get up early, wanting to sleep in every day, and complaining throughout the day about things being too hard (laziness sure does happen).
Gudetama has a “I’m too tired, let me be lazy” attitude. It’s all about doing nothing. He’s a sloth of an egg that is constantly sighing. One thing that is easy to relate to is wanting to go home — especially during a long day at work. Another would be, for example from an episode of his, not wanting to get up for the remote control — but instead trying to reach for it from the couch without falling over. He tries to avoid any situation that requires using his energy and would rather have things done the easy way.
One characteristic that stands out about him is.. wait for it.. his BUTT-CRACK. Yes, he has a chubby, yellow, wobbling butt-crack that jiggles with any movement he makes. There is just something so cute about it — everyone seems to be a fan. He also has a lazy expression on his face at least 99% of the time, 1% being those rare times when he is excited about something such as dancing or getting more followers on twitter (which a lot of us could relate too).
Sometimes the world can be a tough place and Gudetama gets that. He expresses those emotions for those who can’t, and meanwhile many of us can relate to him because we sometimes feel the same way. Gudetama is the typical young adult in an eggshell. The type of egg that would rather stay home than go out, and who often gets bored so decides to use that time wisely... on social media.
Gudetama has become increasingly popular since his debut in 2013, he has tons of product and even has his own cafe. His popularity will continue to increase as more young adults discover and relate to him. Gudetama is pretty much the same as us — just a bit more yellow and cute.
